About Us
Our teen teachers from across the world.
Four chapters,
one story.

A desire to do good with nowhere to go.
At 14, the law says you cannot work. So I thought about reading to elderly people in care homes, a simple, human thing. But I used to live in Zurich, and my Swiss German was nowhere near good enough. Every path I tried led to a wall. The desire was real. The options were not.

Then the summer opened a door.
Back home in Pescara, the home to my grandma's chocolate cake, football in the street, the smell of the sea. I met a little girl from the South of Italy who wanted to travel the world... but she didn't speak English. So, my desire to do good led me to start teaching her. It was small but it was something.

We went further than either of us expected.
When I saw that she was improving, I decided to take this further. I broke my piggy bank to buy her a trip and cover her Cambridge English exam. She sat it. She passed. In that moment something shifted in me, because I realised this story was never just about the two of us. It was a proof of concept for something bigger.

One story became many.
Today, the New Wor(l)ds Project brings this same opportunity to kids around the world. It brings together teenagers from across the world to teach English to younger students who need it most.
Everything starts from
something small.
If you want to learn, or if you feel ready to help someone else do it, there is a place for you here.
